Immediate Food Resources

You may not receive CalFresh benefits for about a month after you apply due to processing, but there are many free on-campus and community food resources available to you.


 

CAL POLY FOOD PANTRY

The Cal Poly Food Pantry feeds the community. “We believe everyone deserves access to fresh nutritious food. The Food Pantry has a robust inventory from a wide variety of packaged and canned foods, fresh produce, frozen meals, and personal hygiene items, such as diapers and menstrual products.”

FOOD BANK DISTRIBUTION

The Food Bank Coalition of SLO County believes that “everyone has the right to nutritious food and that with a reliable supply of wholesome food, we all are healthier, happier and more productive members of our communities.” The Food Bank provides a week’s worth of free groceries on campus every month.

Meal vouchers are available to students experiencing a short-term financial need. Students can apply to get free meals at various on-campus venues.
